Remember … you’re worth more than he gave you! It’s scary but wonderful!! My ex is with another woman and if he falls back into old patters–as most people do–then she’ll have no excuse because she knew better when she married him. You’re worth so much more and so glad you’ve found someone who treats you that way!

Thank you for sharing. I spent four years with a gamer. It was miserable. I blamed myself when he left me suddenly and rudely (over the phone, with no explanation, on the day my parents got home from their dream vacation to Asia). Your words resonate with me because he treated me seemingly well but was always…distracted. Made me dinner then wandered off to play a game, like he had a limit on how much time he wanted to be with me. It made me feel so awful. Year and a half later a truly nice man wants to be with me and it scares me. My ex played magic too (nothing against it, if it didn’t exalts he would have found something else to be addicted to) and with the new guy I used to flinch when we made plans for the weekend because I was so used to the ex playing magic for up to 8 hours on Friday and then game all Saturday and Sunday. This new guy told me he would spend every minutes with me if he could. He’s a nice, level, non-addictive personality guy. He doesn’t miss work and school because of games. He doesn’t balk when I want to spend Friday AND Saturday nights together, in fact, he prefers it. It’s bizarre. I’m glad you found someone to love and be loved by and you don’t have to spend your life with your ex. I know it in my heart that my ex will sweep some poor girl off her feet like he did me and make her all the promises he made me. I feel sorry for her because on paper he is the full package. But in reality he is just not built to live with another person and be anything but selfish.

I am really going to miss you bab. I have loved every blog you have written. I enjoyed seeing the kids playing soccer and all of you beautifu pictures of the kids, wildlife and different scenes of the past and present. I am so very proud of you and love you very much. You are a special niece and always will be a very special part of my heart. I guess it’s back to e-mails for now as you take off on your new photography business.
